Animated World of Young Hummingbirds - 08 Aug 2023

 

While sitting on the deck this afternoon I noticed the pair of juvenile Ruby-throated Hummingbirds chasing each other around the yard. One of the two birds tended to land in the same snag so I ran in to grab the scope and digiscoping gear. I spent some time digiscoping the young bird as it scratched, preened and stretched. It was fun to watch.
