Black-necked Stilts - 28 Jun 2020

After digiscoping the American Avocet I ran into a couple from Texas that alerted me to a pair of Black-necked Stilts that appear to be nesting along the north shoreline of the Humphries Unit. As I biked slowly the male stilt appeared overhead and circled me for several passes. His message was "Go away!". The nearby female was preening and bathing so I managed some nice digiscoped images and video. From a distance. Safely.
