Swarovski's Digiscoper of the Year Contest! - 04 Nov 2009

I've spent the better part of an hour reviewing some of the fine images that other digiscopers have entered in this year's Digiscoper of the Year Contest sponsored by BirdWatcher's Digest and Swarovski Optik. There are some wonderful entries! You should check them out. I sent in some entries, myself, and won't feel bad at all if I get the major snub. Sure, I'll cry, and pout, and throw a tantrum, but I'll get over it! (never...) Here were my entries:

Hi Jerry,

Great pictures! That flying hummingbird is quite fantastic - even having that sparkle in the eye ... did you use some type of flash system for that photo? I also really enjoy the Yellow-headed Blackbird photo, because of the (sur)real background ;-)
I found your blog searching the net for some DSLR+long-lens versus digiscoping comparisons and really enjoy reading your postings.

Jerry, in addition to your best digiscoped contest entries - which are all great and at least one stands a good chance of winning the whole show - I wish there was a best blog contest that you could enter. The content of your blogs is just really great.
