Lark Sparrows - 08 May 2021

A trip to Oak Openings Metropark in Ohio netted a pair of copulating Lark Sparrows. Digiscoped from about 150' away. Swarovski STX85, 25-60X eyepiece, Sony a9, Zeiss 35/2.8, Digidapter DLM.

The bird was a female. How did I know? Because as I digiscoped it a second bird flew up and atop its backside and copulated with it. Epic!

Otherwise it was quiet. We settled for taking some photos of the recent controlled-burn.
