Little Gull - 23 Nov 2022

Finally, a Little Gull sighting that had a successful outcome for this birder. The casual visitor to the Great Lake region appeared this afternoon at the Detroit River Hawk Watch at Lake Erie Metropark in southern Wayne Co., MI. I showed up at the boat launch at the mouth of Lake Erie and managed to get some digiscoped images and videos using both the Sony a9 and a new iPhone 14 Pro. 

Here is a video of the Little Gull taken with an iPhone 14 Pro through the Swarovski STX 85 spotting scope at 60X magnification.  Impressive!
