Ross' Goose continues! - 01 May 2023

Rain, winds and cold were forecast for most of the day here in SE Michigan, but clearing skies to the west prompted me to run down to Erie Marsh to look for warblers.

After checking the Bay Creek Rd. fluddle, which was flooded and held no shorebirds, I drove down Dean Rd. toward Erie Marsh Preserve. Stopping alongside Pool 1 I scanned the dike separating it and Pool 2 and refound the Ross' Goose that was seen last week (well, Bruce Arnold reported the bird 10 minutes before so technically he refound it).

I got out and took another set of digiscoped images and a digiscoped video to document it.

Digiscoped images were captured at 60X magnification using the Sony a1 and 40/2.5 and Digidapter™DLM on the Swarovski STX85.
